Restore purchases
- Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to buy.
- Open Truth or Dare and tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Tap Restore purchases. You'll see a confirmation when it worked.
Restoring doesn't charge you again. Still not working? Email us with the date of purchase.
Cancel or manage your subscription
Subscriptions are handled by Apple and Google. You can only cancel them in your store account. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or current period to avoid being charged again; you keep premium until the period ends.
iPhone & iPad
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Truth or Dare.
- Tap Cancel Subscription (or change your plan).
Android
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Tap Truth or Dare.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the steps.
Already premium? In the app, Settings → Manage subscription takes you straight to your store's subscription page.
Refunds
Payments are processed by Apple or Google, so refunds follow their rules. For the App Store, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, see Google Play's refund help.
Frequently asked questions
What's free and what's premium?
Downloading and playing is free. The Classic theme (friends) and the First date theme (couples) are free to play. Premium unlocks all 15 themes. You can get premium with a subscription (weekly or yearly, sometimes with a free trial) or with a one-time Party Pass.
What is the Party Pass?
The Party Pass is a one-time purchase that unlocks everything for 48 hours. It does not renew, so there's nothing to cancel. Perfect for a single party.
The voice doesn't read the cards.
Check that Read cards aloud is on in Settings and that your phone isn't on silent. Without an internet connection the app uses your phone's built-in voice.
Can I leave out certain kinds of cards?
Yes. In Settings, under Limits, switch off topics like kissing, touching, clothes off, phone & social media or drinking. And during the game, every player has two penalty-free passes.
How many players do I need?
At least 2. Add as many friends as you like; for couples' themes, two is perfect.
Do I need an account? What about my data?
No account needed: you just type in player names and play. Purchases go through Apple or Google. Read our privacy policy for how data is handled.
How often is new content added?
Every week. New truths & dares are added automatically, so there's no app update needed.
Which languages does the app speak?
English, Nederlands, Español, Deutsch, Français, Italiano, Português (Portugal), Dansk, Svenska, Norsk and Türkçe. Every card is translated, and the app follows your phone's language (you can change it in Settings).
Is it suitable for kids?
The app is not meant for children under 13. Some themes are 18+ and only open after confirming that everyone playing is an adult. Use the limits in Settings to leave out topics your group isn't into.
